PROCESS FLOW CHART
Introduction
 | Do you have a graphic representation of your processes? |
 | Do your staff between departments (e.g. QA and Production) have the same
understanding of process flow? |
 | Do you have all test / QC points in processes clearly defined? |
 | Do you train new staff on using flow charts to identify work methods and
procedures? |
 | Do you use a flow chart to locate a problem in the process? |
Process Flow Chart (PFC) is a method to allow people to
understand the sequence of events that leads to the finished product or service.
A PFC shows the inter-dependencies between events and allow members to visualize
the individual activities of a process or service. A PFC can significantly reduce
verbose explanatory notes with greater accuracy.
Benefits Of Attending The Course
The course enables the delegates to:
 | Understand the importance of Process Flow Chart. |
 | Learn to draw Process Flow Charts (e.g. Block diagrams, Manufacturing Flow
charts, Fault Tree, etc.). |
 | Build decision rules into Process Flow Charts so that there are no gaps in
decision. |
 | Reduce lengthy written procedures to crisp flow charts with short
description. |
 | Integrate Process Flow Charts into routine team presentations, discussion
and development processes. |
Who Should Attend?
PFC is fundamental to the clarity of thought processes. It will be most appropriate for those involved in Design,
R&D, Reliability, Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing
and Production. Teams are encouraged to attend for maximum benefit.
