Grant For Rosetta Net Standard Implementation

INTRODUCTION

Introduced in 2002, the RosettaNet Standard Implementation scheme provides assistance to local Electrical and Electronics (E&E) companies to implement RosettaNet, an Internet based common messaging standard for global supply chain management. The RosettaNet enables companies in the supply chain to communicate and conduct business electronically through common codes for sourcing of parts and components.


Objective

The objective of the grant is to assist companies in E&E sector for the acquisition of RosettaNet middleware which include software, hardware and licensing fee to embrace global supply chain management system.

FORM OF ASSISTANCE

The maximum grant allocated per company is RM 100,000. The assistance is given in the form of a matching grant where 50% of approved project cost is borne by the Government and the remainder by the applicant.

Funding is not provided for expenses eligible to be claimed from other Government grants.

Eligible Expenses

bullet

Professional fees to carry out system integration works, interfacing between enterprise applications and the middleware. System Integration is defined as the implementation activities of interfacing the software, hardware and network components and it also covers the cost of customisation;

Cost of acquiring Business to Business middleware which complies to RosettaNet Implementation Framework (RNIFI.I) or higher;

bullet

Setup and installation cost for connection to Internet (including cost of acquiring firewall, modem, router and remote access server); and

bullet

First year membership registration with RosettaNet Malaysia Bhd.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

bullet

Companies incorporated under the Companies Act 1965.

bullet

Manufacturing companies in the E&E cluster

bullet

At least 60% equity held by Malaysian; and

bullet

Manufacturing and supplying products to large scale companies or multinational corporations (MNCs) which have implemented RosettaNet.
