Technology Acquisition Fund For Women (TAF-W)INTRODUCTIONThe Technology Acquisition Fund for Women (TAF-W) will allow greater financing access to finance women entrepreneurs. TAF-W provides partial grants to further promote efforts by women entrepreneurs to enhance their technology level and production processes. The objectives of TAF-W are :
FORM OF ASSISTANCE1. ACQUISITION OF TECHNOLOGYA. TECHNOLOGY LICENSINGObjectiveTo enhance the design and production of new and existing products and processes. The technology to be acquired should include design, blueprints, manufacturing know-how, training, technical support and proprietary equipment. Form of FundingPartial grant up to a maximum of 70% or RM 1 million whichever is lower. Approved ActivitiesProcurement of technologies through licensing by companies that are involved in promoted activities listed below:

Note: The cost of the equipment must not be more than 30% of the licensing cost. B. ACQUISITION OF PATENT RIGHTS, PROTOTYPES AND DESIGNObjectiveTo facilitate transfer of technology to enable the development of new processes and products. All acquisition must include manufacturing rights from technology provider for manufacturing purposes. Form of FundingPartial grant up to a maximum of 70% or RM 1million whichever is lower. Approved ActivitiesAcquisition of Patent Rights, Prototypes and Design by companies that are involved in promoted activities listed below:

Duration of placement should not exceed 3 months.

A minimum of 51% of the local equity must be held by a woman/women and the company is run and managed by a woman; or |
![]() | The MD/CEO must be a woman and she must hold a minimum equity of 10% in the company. |

A minimum of 51% of the equity must be held by a woman/women; or |
![]() | In the case where the majority equity is not held by a woman/women; |

The largest single shareholder must be a woman and the company is run and managed by a woman; or |
![]() | The MD/CEO is a woman and has a minimum equity of 10% in the company. |
