Project Selection Tools - Roadmap for Six Sigma, APQP and TQM projects
|
This software module consists of the following templatized tools and techniques:
- COPIS Elements The COPIS tool is used to evaluate the Customers
- Vital X The Vital X is a simple but important tool to formalize the selection of vital variables in an array of variables. A direct frequency count is used to establish the importance of factors. The factor with the highest rating is considered most important.
- Weighted Score The Weighted Score tool is used to weight impacts related to an array of variables. A list of variables are given a direct rating under a classified group. The classified group itself has a weighting. The product of the direct rating and the weighting is then used to arrive at a weighted rating.
- Hierarchy Comparison The Hierarchy Comparison tool is used to make pair-wise comparison of variables from many users and thereby provide a ranking of the variables. The tool is useful to see the extent of agreement
- Risk Assessment The Risk Assessment tool is used to evaluate the risks involved in an issue. Variables are weighted according to risks and the overall risk is calculated.
- SIPOC Elements The SIPOC tool is used to evaluate the Suppliers
- Project Planning The Project Plan is a template especially suitable for Six Sigma project definition justifying why a project is needed. It comprises of the Project Plan and Project Charter. The Project Plan records and formalizes the Objectives
- Value Stream Map The VSM applet is used to draw the Value Stream Map of a process within an organization. It is used to form a baseline for cycle time
